Home Sweet Home, October 13, 2003
My husband took about 1.5 hours on Christmas Eve to assemble the Little Tykes log cabin. The toughest part was attaching the walls. After struggling for awhile we read the hint in the instructions: try soap and water as a lubricant. After that the pieces slid together. It still took all of his weight to secure the connections. Our cabin has two homeowners, daughters age 3 yrs 9 mos and 2 yrs. They love it when Daddy drops by for tea. It is roomy enough that my 6ft 2inch husband can lean against one wall and get his legs inside. Above the fireplace is a shelf with two ledges wide enough to store small toys. A plastic orange-yellow telephone fits into a holder on the wall. Unfortunately the phone buttons do not depress. Make sure the fold-out table is completely locked in the groove underneath prior to play. All four windows have shutters with sizable handholds that are great for playing peekaboo. We keep our cabin in the living room-turned-playroom, so it is not exposed to direct sunlight. The cabin is fairly lightweight. I am able to shove it around on the carpet to a new location.
A Little Tikes favorite! One to LAST!, November 6, 2002
I'm sorry, but I assembled this playhouse in a matter of minutes (20 tops!). It is nothing more than slide the pieced together and they lock when adding pressure! (Like the Little Tikes Activity Gym if you have ever put one together).
It is one of the bigger playhouses so you won't need to keep buying them as the kids grow! It is one of my favorites!
Great for all ages!, October 9, 2001
We have 5 and 6 year old boys and a 1 year old daughter and all three kids enjoy this toy. There is enough room that all can play and stand (oldest is 4 foot), and it has proven to be as durable as one expects of Little tikes. The table has been used often for snacks and picnic lunches, and the shelves hold many valuable treasures. The styling appealed to our boys as a club house, and our daughter enjoys the house features. Plus it looked great in our yard. Assembly was not difficult, and we did it twice...set it up last winter in the playroom and moved it in the spring to the yard.

This is a great toy to keep kids occupied. My two year old daughter loves it. She especially likes the shutters that open and shut and the fold up table inside where she insists on eating all her snacks at. The house is rather large so it is best suited for outdoor play but even the bigger kids can use it for the same reason. This house is very durable and well designed for little kids but then again Little Tikes is well known for its durable products. I would say that it is a good investment that will last for a really long time.
Great Investment, October 9, 2001
We bought this for our two sons when they were 2&3 years old. They really enjoyed playing in it. They would cook food in their "kitchen" and take it into their house to eat. They are now 7&8 years old and they still play in it, and on it.(They like to climb up on the roof). This toy has been great for imaginative play and just a place to hang out. It has held up (both inside and out) through my 2 boys, their toddler brother, and many, many neighborhood children. I would say that this was one of the best investments in toys I have made.
little tikes house SOLD!!, March 2, 2004
I bought this for my home daycare, two year old daughter and my four year old son I was looking for a playhouse that was non-gender specific so my son would enjoy playing in it too! Boy did I score with this purchase!!All of the kids really enjoy playing in this they especially love to ride their cozy coupe up to the window and pretend they are pulling up to mcdonalds drive thru we really love this and it seemed pretty easy to assemble I needed my husbands help but we did it in about 40 minutes...we were as excited to start playing as the kids I am very glad we bought this and if your in the market for a new home this is a great find for a boy or a girl
The best Christmas gift, but..................., January 8, 2002
My 19 month old son loves this playhouse. It looks great on the deck where we placed it Christmas Eve and I'm sure will last for years to come. BUT..... it took my husband and I hours of hard work and imaginative effort to put this cabin together. The walls just would not slot together on one side and it ended up with us sanding down the plastic to make it fit. This cabin will stay up until it falls down by itself. But the look on my sons face when he saw it decorated with Christmas lights and a large gold bow made it all worth while.
Getting your money's worth., August 10, 2002
The "log cabin" by Little Tikes is well worth the money. It has been played with just about everyday and the great thing about it, is that the log cabin is not just for little girls. The little boys love to play with it as well. It has been sitting outside in direct sun and in all weather and the cabin is still in excellent condition. My family will receive a few more years use out of this toy. I'm sure when we are finished with it, we still will be able to sell it "FAST" for a good buck.
